Bronze, steel and wood - 30x14x10cm
 
The bronze piece was created by fixing ash keys to a wooden frame which was cast directly (not moulded) but not fully burnt out. This creates a totally unique and unrepeatable piece. It uses the unusual combination of polished bronze forms with the contrasting colour and texture of a rusted steel.
 
The cast bronze feature is patinated blue, green and yellow with the tips and edges polished back to the metal (gold coloured). It sits over a painted wooden block between rusted steel rectangular tubes on a sheet steel base which have all been sealed and varnished to prevent further rusting. There is felt on the bottom to protect your surfaces.
 
Suitable for indoor use only, but can be placed in full sun.
